An Incredible Impact - Thanks to Many
The diocesan annual campaign was re-established in 1988 by both Diocesan Finance and Presbyteral Councils to fund the yearly operating expenses of previously unavailable ministries within the eight counties of the Church of Altoona-Johnstown. [The former DDF was temporarily suspended during the Silver Anniversary capital campaign of 1985-1987.] In addition to providing for the financial support of our Diocese, the ACA remains an opportunity for each of us to make a conscious decision to support many essential ministries as well as those who depend on them for spiritual nourishment or temporal assistance.
All gifts received through the Annual Catholic Appeal are credited toward your parish's portion of the Diocesan Goal. Parishes keep 100% of "over goal" contributions that the Stewardship & Development Office records through December 31. New or additional gifts may be made through your parish.
Since 1995, over $4.6 million has been returned to "over goal" parishes. In 2003, ACA promotional expenses were held to fewer than three cents for every dollar raised.
Only through the generosity of all Catholics are our diocesan ministries able to advance the mission of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your ongoing support.
